3-Year Drought Affects Turkey's Resources

According to a recent article written by Deborah Amos for National Public Radio, a three-year drought has not only affected bordering countries, it is also having impact on southeast Turkey.  The picture of land in Baghdad speaks volumes of the seriousness of the scarcity of water.  If the drought continues, not only will the agriculture industry be affected by reducing the number of crops that can be planted, the food processing and lumber processing plants will also be affected with fewer resources to produce at the same level before the drought which will cause the Production Possibility Curve to be greatly reduced.
